top of class!

Nic called tonight with great news. He is in the top ten of his class and has been chosen to attend a specialized training for two weeks after he graduates from AIT on July 9. Here is a link to the Vehicle Recovery Training he will be attending. Instead of coming home right after graduation on the 9th, he will be home sometime around July 27. He thinks he won't leave for South Korea until the end of August now.

We are planning a big party for him after he gets home and will let everyone know when it will be. We hope everyone can come visit with our super son. We are very proud of him, not only for the choices he has made but for doing an outstanding job and giving it his best.

Nic sent me this picture yesterday. I LOVE IT! I can't wait until we can see him in person.

He is doing great in AIT and LOVES being in the military. He said he has been acing all of his tests. Graduation from AIT is July 9 and he gets on the plane that day. He said he will be home either late on the 9th or early the 10th. His orders are to leave for South Korea on August 16th. It will be ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to have him home for over a month!

There is still some talk about him going into the Ranger program. I didn't really understand but something about the paperwork didn't get processed so he meets with someone soon to see about that.

He can get just about anything in the mail now and is always in need of personal hygiene items. If you would have time to write him or send him a care package please email me for his new address...if you don't have his AIT one.
